The Challenge
Client was looking to launch a new internal investment management group to offer multiple investment strategies to their HNW clientele.
Client was aggressively pursuing the creation of this business through internal channels not accustomed to delivering projects combining technology and business resources.
Client was seeking a third party with expertise in both the complex domain aspects of the initiative as well as deep project management experience to assist in organizing around well defined workstreams designed to deliver the business on-time and on-budget.
The Approach
Conducted a review and analysis of existing project artifacts as a baseline to understanding both current state and long-term business goals,
Met with key stakeholders to capture key performance indicators as well as introduce a more project-based approach to delivering the initiative.
Created a formal project management framework inclusive of the introduction of finite workstreams, a detailed project plan, and a status reporting methodology all supportive of the business stakeholders, technology partners, and internal project governance organizations.
Developed and delivered the complete package of internal project inception documentation required to obtain internal funding for the multi-million dollar initiative.
Result
Todd's combination of project and wealth management expertise was credited for quickly and sensibly organizing the internal resources around an approach destined to deliver the new business in time to meet revenue goals.
Client successfully met its first series of critical milestones and is on track for formal business launch on-time and on-budget.
